Key Responsibilities:


  • Providing leadership and support for the department managers
  • Providing support and information for our resident directors
  • Assisting in the coordination of the organisation's emergency response
  • Writing and presenting reports to the board
  • Representing at a senior level to other organisations
  • Coordinating crossorganisational responses to serious disrepair cases and Ombudsman investigations
  • Leading on organisational change initiatives
  • Leading project teams that drive organisational change
  • Developing policies and procedures and good working practices
  • Developing the organisations existing Key Performance Indicators

Key Skills:


  • Extensive knowledge of social housing, management and the role of a TMO
  • Experience in devising and implementing service improvements
  • Knowledge of tenancy and leasehold management, income collection, estate services and delivering planned works
  • Knowledge of financing of social housing, how to achieve value for money and exercising financial control
  • The ability to motivate staff and challenge underperformance
  • The understanding of how technology can contribute to service delivery
  • The ability to work constructively with volunteer directors and other resident representatives
  • The ability to integrate, both within the staff team and with the Board
