CMM Quality Inspector

Newbury

£35-42k
CMM Quality Inspector required for a leading business based near Newbury.

You will be responsible for ensuring that finished products are quality checked and tested, and all that relevant documentation is completed before it leaves the site.

Working as an inspector in Quality Control team, monitoring supplier and in house manufactured components. To undertake measurement and visual inspection using digital and non-digital equipment.

The primary purpose of this role is to perform Goods-in inspection and Certification control of supplier's documentation.

Work closely with the Quality team in maintaining COTD for all material certifications and goods-in inspection addressing the opportunities of process continuous improvement.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Able to use all measuring equipment including CMM Programming.
  • Plan and prioritise the workloads.
  • Overseeing calibration process.
  • Maintain and review the inspection records from manufacturing.
  • Creating internal paperwork including certificates of conformity, certificate of manufacture, quality, quantity, warranty, hydrotest and other test certificates as per customer's requirements and product destination.
  • Able to read and understand product drawings.
  • Support with Inspection related activities as required.
  • Maintenance of daily workload information and weekly reporting of the KPIs.
  • Managing Continuous Improvement Projects within the area.

  • Excellent attention to detail and able to demonstrate experience in working in this type of role.
  • Inspection of goods to QA plan.
  • Measurement using digital and nondigital equipment.
  • Programming (and checking) for automated QC equipment
  • Completion of concession and reject notes as required.
Inspection and documenting of Sample/ISIR/FAI Reports

  • Record items on concession, reject and sample registers.
