Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 + on call for evenings & weekends as required


Reports to:
Assistant Transport Manager


Holiday:25 days plus Bank Holidays

General:

You will be responsible the efficient and economical scheduling of the Transport Department vehicle fleet to

meet customer and Operator Licence requirements. Ensure all work and vehicle maintenance is conducted

within the current regulations.


Main Duties:

Route the vehicle fleet on a daily basis
_by the most cost effective means_
Manage booking requests from sales team/customers (daily) using Bookings calendar

Monitor daily activity of the vehicle fleet by use of the vehicle tracking system

Schedule vehicle routine maintenance IAW legislation (weekly)

Organise outside support (agency drivers, hire vehicles) as required

Monitor Drivers' hours (daily)

Book loads into disposal sites on daily basis

Process disposal site waste acceptance forms as required
Process driver holiday requests (on receipt)

Provide customer quotations on request

Be courteous to customers, colleagues and members of the public

Taking telephone queries/enquires from drivers

Maintain and update routing sheet daily
Raise jobs on Weighsoft system
Issue job details & paperwork to drivers on a daily basis
Process/issue any additional supporting paperwork required to complete scheduled work (i.e.

Hazard labels)
Issue Purchase Order numbers
Provide cover for administration support as required
Provide 24hr cover on a rota basis as required


General H&S Responsibilities:

Comply with Health & Safety requirements: as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments,
method statements, safe systems of work etc.

Actively seek to improve safety culture.
Report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to your line manager immediately.


Other General Responsibilities:

Maintain the physical security of FIS equipment in your possession along with any goods transported
in accordance with Company Security policies.

Maintain the security and confidentiality of Company information and data in accordance with
Company IT Security and Data Protection policies.
