as a SWEP Night Shelter (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol) Worker in Worcestershire?


Each winter CCP is involved with co-ordinating and supporting emergency accommodation across Worcestershire, to enable rough sleepers to come in out of freezing temperatures in line with the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP).


We are looking for someone to join the team as a SWEP Worker to aid rough sleeper support work in various locations across Worcestershire.

Support is needed in Worcester City primarily and travel is also paid. We also have shifts available in Evesham, Kidderminster, Malvern and Redditch.

We are looking for flexible workers who can support us as and when we may need assistance. Often this will be evening, night and weekend shifts.


Are you passionate about supporting homeless people with complex needs, and histories of entrenched or repeated homelessness throughout the winter months?


To be successful in this role, you'll need to be patient, kind, resilient, and professional, with a calm and caring approach.


Requirements:


  • Ideally some support work experience, within homelessness sector would be desirable
  • Work evening, night and weekend shifts as and when needed
