Overview


We are looking to strengthen our team by appointing a Supply Chain coordinator to support the Operations and Offshore departments in all aspects of purchasing, procurement, logistics and expediting.

Aratellus deliver the world's most technologically advanced seabed investigation and intervention solutions for offshore energy.

We are a fairly new company established in 2020 with exceptional growth plans and we want you to be part of this exciting journey.

Although we offer remote/hybrid working, we also have a state-of-the-art office in Aberdeen, with first-class wellbeing and hospitality facilities.

Whilst you will also have the flexibility to work from home, there will be an expectation to support goods in and out of Peterhead on occasion.


Roles and Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Purchasing and Procurement

  • Identify and appoint new / potential vendors when appropriate.
  • Receive and process Material Requisitions from the offshore crews.
  • Process orders as per company procurement procedures
  • Provide support and guidance to the Operations and Offshore teams with costs and availability for equipment/services.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with the offshore crews on the process status of material requisitions.
  • Develop and maintain a high aptitude for the Aratellus assets and machinery.

Logistics & Stores

  • Receive goods in line with the company Goods in Procedures.
  • Support Operations Coordinator obtain competitive quotes for logistic and transportation costs.
  • Maintain onshore inventory and stores and uphold high standards of housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate records of all goods movements in compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with in country agents.

General

  • Provide Holiday and absence cover to the Supply Chain Manager Duties
  • Provide support and cover to other departments as and when required.
  • Provide a leading example in line with all company Health and Safety procedures

What you need

Experience

  • A solid understanding of procurement principles
  • A solid understanding of freight forwarding, HMRC procedures and vessel agent activities (preferred)
  • Experience in procurement for the Subsea robotics sector (preferred)
  • Experience of import/export logistics in the subsea robotics sector (preferred)

Technical Qualifications

  • PC Literate with proven experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Outlook and Excel
