To work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.

What we'll need you to bring:
- Knowledge of catering standards and related procedures.
- Required to undertake on the job training and induction (this will generally take 46 weeks, depending on hours/days worked), to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
- Working knowledge Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Required to obtain the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have:
- SVQ or relevant qualification
- Experience within a catering environment
- Knowledge of systems and processes e.g. HACCP; manual handling; management of aggression; infection control; COSHH; fire safety; cash handling/reconciliation
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work shift patterns
- Flexible attitude and willing to learn

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern:
This role will be based at
Catering Department within University Hospital Monklands
The working pattern for this role is
:Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, variable hours
