Join one our central College teams as a temporary
HR & Academic Assistant .
You will assist the HR Manager in various administrative tasks, including recruitment coordination, induction support, probation management, and employee benefits coordination.
The role is for 4-6 weeks paying £13.56 p/hr + Holiday Pay.Duties include:
New Starts, Induction & Probation:
Undertake pre-employment checks, coordinate provision of University Cards, provide induction materials, support induction events, inform relevant departments of new starts, coordinate training, and manage probationary periods.
Employee Benefits:
Coordinate Eye Care voucher scheme and promote Employee Assistance Programme.
Appraisal:
Coordinate annual performance and development review process.
HR Database and Reporting:
Maintain HR database, upload return to work paperwork, update salary records, ensure accurate personnel files, and archive leavers' files.
General Administration:
Provide administrative support to HR Manager, act as first point of contact for enquiries, assist in HR meetings, manage inboxes, maintain Procedures Manual, administer staff parking passes, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Projects:
Assist with digitalisation of personnel files and HR-related projects.
Other Responsibilities:
Uphold College policies, stay updated on legislation and procedures, attend relevant training.
For the College Office:
Handle enquiries, process paperwork, maintain noticeboards, provide administrative support, and assist in various administrative processes.
General Office Support:
Provide administrative and secretarial support to College Registrar and maintain office supplies.
Essential skills:
- Previous administration experience.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
