Our Organisation
We strive to make a positive and ethical impact by engaging with our community through various programmes and initiatives.

Within the DBF, we embrace diversity and inclusivity, fostering an environment where individuals from all backgrounds are respected, valued, and can contribute their unique perspectives.

The Diocese of Bristol is a non-for-profit administrative area of the Church of England for over one million people living across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Wiltshire and Swindon.

It covers a diverse and contrasting range of contexts and brings together over 200 churches, 70 church schools, a range of chaplaincies and networks of faith seeking to be a church for and serving all people in all places.

This is an exciting time within the Diocese as we are collaboratively shaping a new vision and set of priorities for the coming years in a process called _Transforming Church.

Together_._ We want to understand what we do well, what we can change for the better and how to create a positive way forward together.

This role will be key in preparing for what the future brings.

In recent decades, the Diocese has been on the leading edge of some of the issues the Church of England have faced - from being the first Diocese to ordain women as priests to declaring a climate emergency, as well as addressing and educating ourselves on safeguarding and racial justice issues.

We are now mobilising a new strategy, and taking part in the Renewal and Reform Programme, to take us into a new era
