Our client are an established, expanding manufacturing business currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Buyer to join their team.
Overall Purpose:
- In this role you will need to understand spend requirements, negotiate prices and handle commercial and contractual interactions with supplier companies.
Key Duties:
- Procurement of strategically important materials developing and maintaining a robust Procurement strategy for the areas of responsibility.
- Management of an International supplier roster across multi geographies.
- Meeting the business requirements for forecasting and reporting requirements, governance and compliance requirements and service and operational requirements of the production sites.
- Alignment and support of the business sustainability aspirations through supplier Relationship Management and planning.
Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:
- CIPS qualified (Level 4 and above) is preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of garnering best value outcomes through Procurement methods and negotiation skills.
- Previous experience in commodities and market intelligence.
- Experience in manufacturing environments would be beneficial.
- Experience in the management of a diverse supplier roster.
- People Management and Team development.
- Familiarity with legal aspects of Procurement and forming fit for purpose agreements and documentation.
The Package:
- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Day shift, office working hours Mon-Fri.
