Job Overview:
Baird Food Services is a dynamic, rapidly expanding company delivering fresh, quality food products.
We're now on the hunt for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Operations Planner with a passion for food and a strong understanding of production management in a BRC Grade food factory environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordination of daily production of stock and orders.
Coordination of customer orders for dispatch.
Coordination of labor and materials.
Daily management and monitoring of raw material stock levels.
Daily management and monitoring of finished goods stock levels.
Daily management of staff levels & hours (Agency & Full-Time).
Attendance at daily production meetings.
Ensuring all products are produced in line with Product specifications & QAS sheets.
Reducing operational downtime through contingency management.
Minimizing labor costs, production hours, and use of agency staff through planning.
Monitoring and reducing waste on packaging, ingredients, equipment, consumables
Ensuring completion of required KPI documentation.
Experience in a Planning role (minimum 3 years)
Experience within the food industry.
Degree.
Excellent IT skills, especially Excel.
Strong organizational skills.
Good communication skills.
Strong numerical ability.
Aptitude for creative thinking & problem-solving.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
Thorough, conscientious, and positive with an eye for detail.
Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
Flexibility with regards to working hours.
Highly motivated with a passion for food.
Good communication skills.
The ability to share knowledge with other members of the team.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
Highly organized and disciplined.

Head of Procurement / Commercial Manager

Pay:
£33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
