Project Coordinator (PMO)

The Purpose of the Role


Provide support to the Project Managers for the delivery of a diverse range of projects (IT, technology, deployment of new services, etc.) to time, cost and quality, meeting the requirements of the business, ensuring suitable governance and auditability.


To be responsible for ensuring documentation is available, tracked and reports are updated at an agreed frequency and for coordinating the project team members so that tasks are completed in accordance with the agreed plan.


Core Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of multiple larger projects and occasionally manage a smaller project.
  • Support the development of project plans and monitor closely the project progress to ensure the timely delivery of key milestones and deliverables, including management of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies and the proactive management of action plans.
  • Report project progress against baseline to project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders (including third party suppliers where necessary) to ensure they remain engaged and informed throughout the project.
  • Support the development and manage stakeholder and communication plans, as appropriate.
  • Drive collaboration across business (and 3rd party partners where applicable) to ensure project deliverables meet the business need and deliver value.
  • Ensure project governance and associated documentation is kept current and is driving the project delivery to success.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' of proven experience in a Project Coordination / Assistant Project Management role.
  • Proven experience of working in a Professional Services and/or Consulting environment
  • Experience working with Microsoft Project is desirable.
  • Experience of delivering against multiple concurrent projects

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree, HND or equivalent.
  • Project Management Qualification (e.g. APM, Prince2, PMI, etc) is desirable but not essential.
