What will my role look like?

Our Fuel Pricing Team is expanding and we have an opportunity available for a Fuel Pricing Team Leader

In this role you will be required to manage a team of Commercial Fuel Pricing Analysts, you will have overall responsibility for the team and performance of the Fuel Pricing department.

We are looking for a commercially aware individual with strong leadership & communication skills. We will provide training on the role however a commercial mind-set is essential for this position.

What would my main responsibilities be?

Manage a team of Commercial Analysts each of whom price a different country (as below).

Represents Fuel Pricing Team in Senior Management meetings discussing Fuel Performance for the UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Germany.

Hold regular meetings with the Pricing Team to review performance, gather feedback and provide guidance to the team.
Presenting Fuel Performance on a regular basis to Line Manager, Country Managers and Fuel Director.
Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
Answer questions, upskill and provide ongoing support to the team where needed.
Assists Line manager with recruitment and training.
Manage absence, appraisals and other management duties.
Check work quality of team members and provide feedback where necessary.
Generates and shares reports with Line Manager about team performance, objectives, and deadlines.
Able to take on responsibility to achieve targets and goals
Contribute to overall company sales targets and objectives.
Undertake Ad-hoc projects related to the function of the Fuel Pricing Department.

Degree in mathematics, economics or related field is desired
Experience within a team management role with strong commercial awareness
An ongoing awareness of external market conditions and understand the impact of these to the business and their team
Strong business acumen
Clear and effective communication
Knowledgeable and able to use all Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook and Excel
Capability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
Ability to work under pressure
Flexibility to accommodate changing business needs
