Are you an experienced workshop fitter looking for a new opportunity to advance your career? Chantler Recruitment is partnering with a leading plant and tool hire company, to find talented individuals to join their dynamic and established team.

As a workshop fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring a high percentage of equipment is available for hire, working closely with the office, warehouse, and driving teams.

You'll primarily be involved with fault-finding, maintaining and repairing a wide range of small tools, plant and machinery, such as:

110V and cordless power tools (hammer drills, grinders, saws)
110V/240V site equipment (highfrequency pokers, dehumidifiers, dust extractors)
2stroke and petrol equipment (cutoff saws, mixers, power floats)
Diesel plant (generators, compressors, pressure washers)
Air tools (breakers, picks, scabblers)
Hydraulic equipment (power packs, pallet trucks, jacks)
Mechanical equipment (material lifts, chain blocks, access platforms)

Key skills

A proven track record of repairing plant and tools
The commitment to learn about the business and range of equipment
The ability to prioritise, work quickly and pay attention to detail
An organised and methodical approach
A good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skill
A great sense of humour.
