As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the physical assets of the property, ensuring that safety, appearance, and maintenance operations meet and exceed our company's established standards.
You will work closely with the Property Manager to coordinate the work of external contractors and ensure that all property standards are met.

This is a full time permanent position working at our gorgeous Riverside Property in Canterbury.
Your Mission:
- Oversee all physical assets of the property, including safety, appearance, and maintenance operations
- Provide solutions to any issues or concerns related to the property's physical assets
- Maintain a log of reported defects and take necessary actions to resolve them
- Ensure security measures are in place, such as fitting new locks and adjusting doors/windows
- Provide suggestions for improvement and efficiency
- Maintain safety records and ensure a safe environment for employees and residents
- Manage and reconcile utility statements
- Understand and manage building documentation, contracts, and permits
- Ensure compliance with city and country building regulations
- Manage fire safety, including equipment maintenance, evacuation plans, and fire drills
- Supervise building technicians and manage service requests
- Manage equipment servicing and warranty agreements
- Understand and manage electrical, plumbing, construction, fire & safety, and building systems
- Perform daily inspections of the property to ensure proper functioning
- Coordinate works and projects with thirdparty contractors and vendors
- Document and manage warranty and development defects
- Coordinate unit and building inspections with the Property Manager
- Manage contracts and relationships with utility companies
- Collaborate closely with the Property Manager
Your Track Record:
- Experience in a similar position, preferably in student housing or residential properties
- Management experience is preferred
- Maintenance and safety certifications are strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and problemsolving abilities
- Uptodate knowledge of relevant legislation and key issues
