The Role


Due to the growth of the business we are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join Naturecan's finance team where you will be supported by a small team of qualified CIMA and ACA accountants, and you will report directly to the Management Accountant.

You will be responsible for the day to day accounts payable and receivable functions, working predominantly with the Xero accounting software.

We are looking for someone with experience working in a high volume, fast-paced environment.


Key responsibilities include

  • Key person responsible for the purchase to pay cycle for stock and overhead transactions
  • Performing multiple bank reconciliations
  • Posting invoices
  • Collating marketing costs for month end accruals
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Communicating with suppliers
  • Primary contact for employee expense requests
  • Reconciling customer receipts
  • Issuing credit notes
  • Raising B2B sales invoices
  • Ad hoc reporting

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience working in a remote environment with high levels of discipline within an appropriate homebased setup
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of purchase ledger processes
  • Experience in a stockbased business required
  • Experience in an 'offshore' cost centre desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of Odoo accounting software highly desirable
  • Is able to stay organised in a highvolume and rapidly changing startup environment
  • Immaculate punctuality and attendance
  • Extremely high levels of data accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Always able to assist colleagues and will always contribute to problem solving
  • Is able to independently make highly effective internal inquiries to find information relating to transactions
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
