The role:


As a receptionist based in Olympic House at Manchester Airport, you will be expected to welcome all visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner and assist visitors with any queries they may have.


Other receptionist duties include (but not limited to):

  • Issue temporary visitor passes to all guests and ensure their safe return.
  • Receive and process parcels from various courier services.
  • Resolving and answering queries received over the phone in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provide comprehensive information to customers, colleagues, service partners and guests on all aspects of the airport.


In this role, you'll also be required to work in our print room providing an efficient print and finish service to
MAG and other external stakeholders.


Main responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Maintain a record of stock levels thus ensuring we continue to provide an efficient service.
  • Operate multifunctional printing machines.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy department (includes heavy lifting of boxes)
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding their requests.


Please be aware that this role will require you to work a shift pattern to ensure that we have sufficient coverage across reception and the print room.


This shift pattern is detailed below:

Monday: 10:00am - 14:00pm


Tuesday: 07:15am - 17:00pm


Wednesday:
alternate weeks (week 1, 10:00am-14:00pm, week 2, 07:15am-17:00pm)


Thursday:
alternate weeks (week 1, 10:00am-14:00pm, week 2, 07:15am-17:00pm)


Friday: 07:30am - 16:00pm


What will make you successful in the role?
We're looking for someone who has had previous experience working in a fast-paced customer facing role.

You will have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders across
MAG, whilst maintaining confidentiality where necessary.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work independently using your own initiative to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and within a reasonable timeframe.


Please note:
due to the dual aspect of this role, some manual handling will be required.
