Home Tutor
Are you a dedicated and qualified teacher with a passion for helping students excel in their studies? We are seeking a Home Tutor to support a young person with a diagnoses of ASD and SLD.
Whether you prefer full-time or part-time hours, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic success of our students in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop customised lesson plans and teaching materials that align with the national curriculum and cater to the unique learning needs of each student.
- Assess and regularly monitor the progress of your students, adjusting your teaching methods to maximise their learning outcomes.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that motivates students to excel.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians to provide feedback on student progress and address any concerns.
- Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.
Qualifications:
- Qualified teacher status (
QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. - Previous experience as a Home Tutor, particularly at the GCSE level, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals.
- The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs of each student.
Working Hours:
The working hours for this position are flexible and can be tailored to your availability. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, we can accommodate your schedule. The role includes 1 to 2 hours of planning time per student, depending on the length of tutoring sessions.
