Description

Engineer will be required to work on his own initiative in carrying out repairs and testing of various 3ph AC stators (low and high voltage), DC armatures and fields.

Work closely with the winding department supervisor to ensure that all working activities are carried out in a cost effective, efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures


Duties:

■ Fault finding and assessment
■ Copy wind stators and rotors
■ Winding from drawings
■ Manufacture of coils
■ Coil winding and forming
■ Armature winding and connecting of commutator
■ Documentation of findings, work required, spare parts, materials and labour
■ Make maximum effective use of equipment ensuring that it is maintained in good working order

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • Qualifications by experience
  • A successful track record within the repair industry
  • Knowledge of winding stators and armatures
  • Ability to interrupt winding diagrams
  • Ability to back engineer

Noon Shift
Monday - Friday: 1pm - 9.30pm

Rotating Shift
Monday - Friday: 6am-2.30pm & 2.30pm - 10pm
4 on, 4 off

Night Shift
Monday - Friday: 10pm - 6am
Sunday - Thursday: 10pm - 6am
Saturday - Wednesday 10pm - 6am

Additional Information

  • Overtime Rate: £20.00 to £25.00 fixed overtime rate

Call out Rate:
£90.00

Holidays: 25 days per annum plus statutory holidays
Sick Pay Scheme: 6 weeks full pay, 6 weeks half pay


Salary:
Negotiable depending on experience (up to £35k)


Salary:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
