An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Theatre Department at Birmingham Womens and Childrens hospital.

We are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Theatre Clinical educator for anesthetics and recovery to join our team on a 12-monthsecondment.

If you have experience within the theatre environment and are keen to develop yourself, the team and the service then we would like to hear from you.


Applications are invited from Registered Nurses (Adult/Paediatric) or Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) with an NMC/HPCP registration for our Band 6 theatre Clinical educator post.

We have a continuously expanding Theatre Department and we provide expert care for a large number of paediatric surgical specialties, including; neurosurgery, craniofacial, cardiac, interventional radiology, cardiology, transplantation, laparoscopic, trauma, orthopedic, plastics, burns, ophthalmology, ENT, urology and general surgery.

This post is based on the Birmingham Childrens Hospital site.


Theatres has a scheduled, daily quality management programme to ensure staff are supported, lists are running smoothly and any arising problems are promptly addressed - requiring strong liaison between the Team Leaders and Band 7 Theatre Management Team.
