Prospectus is excited to be supporting our client, a leading London University, who are looking to recruit a full-time permanent Research Grant Officer.

This post will be a hybrid working, of a minimum of two days per week onsite (South East London) andthe remainder remote working.

One of the days required will be Wednesday, and the other day will be flexible.

As the Research Grant Officer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of a portfolio of research grants, taking a pro-active role in identifying and promoting available funding opportunities.

You will coordinate and manage thedevelopment of funding bids for externally sponsored research, institutional capacity-strengthening and knowledge exchange activities, ensuring that projects are accurately costed, that funders' eligibility requirements are met and that internal approval processesare followed prior to submission.

Develop specialist knowledge of major funders in the UK and overseas (including their processes and priorities), building and maintaining effective working relationships with the funders and ensuring that the College is wellplaced to identify and quickly respond to suitable opportunities as they arise.

Provide an effective horizon scanning function, including pro-actively developing intelligence to increase grant capture and target funding opportunities.
