The Role Responsibilities

  • Financial Markets Sales delivers comprehensive financing, risk management and investment solutions to the Bank's corporate, government, and institutional clients.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful and growing Bank and Broker Dealer sales team within Financial Markets, where you will be focused on crossasset Repo financing and Rates products,
  • You will work in close collaboration with trading, structuring, XVA, risk teams to deliver secured financing and rates solutions for the client base in UK/ Europe

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the global franchise development reviewing all flows and market movements across the various regions, construct trade ideas and communicate to the wider teams
  • Support the development of a productive working relationship with the client's key decision makers through calling, visits, and provision of relevant ideas
  • Work with Relationship Managers and Originate new clients with financing requirements
  • Diligent coverage of the daily flow business meeting all required standards and procedures
  • Assist the automation of product offering and daily tasks for the desk
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
  • Deliver on assigned tasks and projects
  • Contribute towards identifying opportunities for the desks across geographies and client segments.
  • Formulate marketing strategies and assist the team is organising client events
Skills required for the role

  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written
  • Ability to build a rapport with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Prior experience in a financial markets role with exposure to Rates and/or Repo products.
  • Good organisational skills and knowledge around onboarding clients, legal documentation, regulations, XVA will be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Excel formulas and macros will be advantageous
