We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Administrator to join our growing company and be a key driver of Sustainable Energy First's success.

This would suit someone with previous data entry experience and who is willing to learn about the energy industry.

We'd expect you to have great attention to detail, be numerate, have strong excel skills, initiative, and be quick and enthusiastic to learn new skills, Sustainable Energy First's processes and all about the dynamic industry of energy.


The role:


  • Monitoring of Data Admin & Ebilling inboxes
  • Creating batches
  • Creating & allocating tasks
  • Manual Data Entry
  • Electronic Data Entry
  • To process EDI files, Ebills and manual energy invoices.
  • Provide supporting information to the head of data processing, in ensuring accurate and timely data across the business.
  • Provide a data processing service in line with Sustainable Energy First and customer contract and Sustainable Energy First's quality policy and objectives
  • Accurately import Ebills and EDI files into the system on first attempt
  • Accurately enter manual invoices into the system
  • To accurately maintain an accurate suite of translators for all EDI and Ebills

Skills and experience:


  • Inbox management
  • Multi tasking within a fast paced environment
  • Basic data entry/handling of data sets
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Work on own initiative as well as a team


It's essential that you are able to manage a fast-paced work environment and can adapt quickly when an account needs specific attention.

Being able to prioritise and organise your work is of the upmost priority.


We're looking for someone who enjoys working with data and systems has an excellent eye for detail and is passionate about process efficiencies, with great people liaison skills as we'll expect you to build good relationships with energy suppliers.

You need to be technically minded, good at Excel and someone who takes a pride in their work, seeing a job done accurately and efficiently whilst being a great team player.

Ideally, you'll be in the energy industry already, with bags of enthusiasm and a good base of industry knowledge. Being good with people, numerate and able to learn new systems and processes quickly goes without saying.


As this will be a hybrid admin/processor role, someone with experience in the above areas would be fantastic and preferred (especially admin skills) however not essential if they have great organisational skills, work ethic and most importantly, will fit well into the team.
