Senior Software Developer - Remote Based - NEW

The Role


Due to planned growth and business requirements, we are now seeking a Senior Developer to join their dynamic and forward thinking team.

As a member of the product team, you will be responsible for assisting / leading the development team which is build,Run and Maintain Multiple large scale websites.

My client are packed with talented and dedicated people who are building and developing web technology and experience for our 20 million customers across the world.

The core of our focus is on our multi-awardwinning websites, which have seen millions of downloads and are used by hundreds of thousands of our customers every month.


Day to Day Responsibilities:


The Senior Software Engineer is a leader in, experienced practitioner and advocate of state-of-the-art software development practices, developing software products with a broad toolkit of technologies and with a DevSecOps mindset.

You strive for clean architecture, state-of-the-art implementation, and overall high quality with a customer-centric mindset.

You select, and guide teams to use, the right tools for the job and thus solve the given business and technical problems in an efficientway.

You show an advanced commercial mentality, focusing on solving business problems in the best way in close collaboration with stakeholders.


In your role, one of your key responsibilities is to the people you manage, ensuring that they are growing within their area of expertise, acquiring new skills, doing valuable work, working well together and feeling engaged and supported.

Together with othermembers of the team you will research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes and tools and help teams to use them effectively.


You will act as a servant leader and enabler for your team, helping to develop and maintain delivery plans, timescales, resource requirements, key deliverables/milestones, risks and progress.

You focus on helping your team to self-organise, and to keep increasingits capabilities and autonomy.
You always drive for technical excellence, ownership and self-organisation at team and personal level.

You love to learn and acquire new skills and put significant effort into keeping up to date with latest developments in your focus areas.

Key Skills:

  • Technical expertise: JavaScript language, JavaScript frameworks, preferably , HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, MSSQL, NOSQL (SOLR), C#, and Microsoft.

NET

  • Deep expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, tools and services on AWS or Azure
    (Cloud experience is essential to be considered for this position):
  • Experience in frontend and backend performance aspects, monitoring, analysis and optimisation.
  • Deep experience with implementing resourceoriented APIs and eventbased architectures.
  • Deep expertise in CI/CD (preferably GIT/TFS/Azure Dev Ops)
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration and great teams.
  • Experience in leading, developing and growing people, with excellent coaching and mentoring skills

The Location:


The role is remote based and twice a month to attend HQ in their new offices in Stockton on tees.

Salary:
£55,000 - £65 ,000 + great benefits, Lots to mention: pension scheme, private medical insurance, 25 days+ Bank holidays and much much more.
