Are you a Technical Project Manager from the Banking/Financial Sector looking for a new challenge?

We are recruiting for Technical Project Managers to proactively manage IT demand service requests, taking ownership of them throughout their lifecycle from requirements capture and to take accountability for the successful delivery of projects, by leadingand driving the project delivery team.

You will be instrumental in coordinating and managing the key stages of the demand service business process. Work with both Portfolio Delivery and Service teams to provide cost effective solutions to support Client business needs.

What you will be doing:


  • Depending on which client you are working with you could be working on large scale/large budget projects or multiple medium scaled projects within our Private Sector
  • Establishing and maintaining effective project controls.
  • Organising and directing the project team.
  • Effectively engaging the customer, subcontractors, third parties and project stakeholders throughout the duration of the project.
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of, and regularly reporting, project progress, plans, dependencies, risk and status clearly and accurately, escalating appropriately through the Sopra Steria management chain when necessary.

What you'll bring:


  • Demonstrable IT Project Management professional experience required for the role
  • Knowledge and experience of project management processes and ability to adapt process to project needs knowledge of working in Agile with cross functional stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management have hands on experience with working with senior leadership. Have the ability to keep stakeholders on top with progress updates, engaged and have the ability to adapt to new challenges
  • Experience in working in service management and hands on experience in dealing with business change
  • Previous experience within the Financial/Banking sector or Utilities
  • Been a Project Manager leading on digital/business transformations

It would be great if you had:

  • PRINCE2 or PMQ or Agile Foundation
  • Current Project Management certification required for the role
  • Current Membership of an appropriate professional project management body
  • Educated to Graduate Level or equivalent
