As a Machine Operator within this role, you will be involved in:Machine Operation Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Execute and oversee the operation of various processing machinery, ensuring efficiency and precision in production.
Setup Procedures:
Configure machines based on product specifications, making adjustments to cutting blades, feed rates, and other parameters.
Monitoring and Corrections:
Monitor machine operations for deviations from standards, promptly identifying malfunctions and taking corrective actions.
Inspections and Maintenance:
Regularly inspect machines for proper functioning, cleanliness, and adherence to safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize machine performance.
Collaborative Work:
Team Coordination:
Work collaboratively with team members to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely order completion.
Quality Inspection:
Inspect finished products for quality, making necessary adjustments to dimensions, smoothness, and accuracy.
Safety and Reporting:
Adherence to Safety:
Strictly adhere to safety regulations, contributing to a clean and organized work environment.
Communication:
Report any issues, concerns, or suggestions related to machinery, processes, or safety to the supervisor.
Requirements:
Previous Experience:
Prior experience as a Machine Operator or in production would be advantageous.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to produce high-quality work within specified tolerances.
Physical Stamina:
Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift and maneuver materials.
Safety Commitment:
Strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of relevant safety procedures.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Punctuality and Reliability:
Essential for meeting production deadlines.
Benefits:
Competitive Starting Rate:
£11.50 per hour, increasing to £13 per hour after 12 weeks, along with well-paid overtime.
Opportunity for Permanent Employment:
Available after completing 12 weeks of temporary work.
