All Company products - are used in industrial and commercial construction projects, new-builds and refurbishments in towns and cities everywhere.
Established in 1986 the Fixing Point team have grown a diverse and loyal customer base that includes some of the largest roofing and cladding contractors in the UK.
The Role
We are looking for a Logistical Warehouse Manager to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
You will report directly to the Operations Director and assist in the management of the upcoming Warehouse project which includes the development of a new warehousing building and the integration of a new Warehouse Management System.
The Warehouse logistics Manager will Manage:
- All goods movements in and out of the business
- Stocks within the warehouse
- The interface with our couriers / hauliers ensuring optimum service and cost
- Trade counter
- Warehousing personnel
- The integration of new scanning systems
Main Responsibilities
- Receive incoming stock and ensure that accuracy is checked and that it is booked onto stock effectively and accurately
- Interface with Collection Drivers ensuring all paperwork is effectively and accurately transferred to achieve 100% OTIF deliveries
- Interface with customers who use the trade counter, ensuring that they are dealt with effectively and courteously
- Ensure that the Trade Counter is presented in a manner that is conducive with a customer care philosophy
- Undertake perpetual stock take activities to ensure accuracy of stock holding and the maximum effectiveness of stock locations is achieved
- Housekeeping of the yard area
- That the company vehicle is serviced and maintained to standards required to ensure legislative compliance
- Interface and continually assess our couriers and hauliers to ensure we are achieving the best service and cost within the sector
- Continually evaluating our processes and systems to ensure optimisation
- Bring forward ideas for improvement and mange those agreed to conclusion

- Able to work alone or as part of a Team
- GCSE or equivalent in mathematics and English
- Good standard of PC skills
- Experience in stock management systems
- Flexible "can do" attitude
- Reliable
- Inventory Control Management Qualification (Desirable)
- Forklift Licence (counterbalance/ Bendi) (Desirable)
