Bid Administrator - Global Engineering

£30,000 - £33,000

London
An amazing opportunity to join a Global Engineering firm within their Bid team. You must understand the bidding process and what documentation is required.

This role would suit a second jobber or someone with 6-12 months experience working within a Bid/Proposals team looking to develop their career.


THE ROLE

Bid Process:


  • Manage and ensure all relevant bids are written & prepared to the highest corporate standard and reflect the company branding guidelines.
  • Track all bid related information & statistics.
  • Work with Key Account Holders & Directors to prioritise & execute bids and presentations agreeing deadlines and expectations.
  • Liaise with prospects for bid processes as needed.
  • Maintenance of resource material:
  • Ensure all bid resources are up to date.
  • Create single repository for all bid related materials & maintain including new databases.

Reporting:


  • Report on status of all bids/tenders/presentations to business via SharePoint as required.
  • Log and research bid opportunities.
  • Provide monthly updates to the board all on activity.

Research:


  • Assess relevant market data & identify key contacts as and when required.
  • Work with Marketing and Directors to identify bid opportunities.
  • Prepare key bid presentations, capability statements, tenders, OJEU responses, and PQQs as
- needed.


Meeting Attendance Required:


  • Practice Meetings.
  • Sales Meeting (as requested).
  • To attend meetings promptly, be prepared for meetings and to have previously carried out all actions.
  • To ensure all meetings are effective and productive.

THE PERSON:


  • Have 612month experience working in a Bids or Proposals team
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the skills to tailor documents to specific audiences to generate business.
  • Advanced IT literacy, with excellent Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and
  • Illustrator).
  • Competency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Adobe Advanced InDesign, Dotmailer, SharePoint.
  • Must have the ability to write about complex, technical concepts in easy to understand formats.
  • Skills in project managing ongoing jobs with limited supervision are desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge in tender processing and administration skills in this process.
  • Must have a background in desktop publishing, advertising, media or related field.
  • High level competency in MS Office, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • The ability to project a positive, approachable and professional attitude at all times.
  • Educational qualifications to a degree level or equivalent are desired (CIM).
  • Personable and a 'can do' attitude with resource management experience.
  • Able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients.
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines, be able to project a confident, calm, measured and organised
