  • At our Manufacturing facility in Newbury, Berkshire, the Teledyne Reynolds Engineering team design custom Interconnect Solutions to carry signals from High Voltage Power Supplies to some of the most advanced technologies on the planet, and even beyond.

Working with the biggest Defence Prime contractors in Europe, we are proud to play a part in keeping our NATO pilots safe by powering their cockpit technology and radar systems.

With the Semi-conductor market in higher demand than ever, our products which aid the inspection and quality assurance of the chips, are advancing with new designs and test requirements.

Our Engineering team and Production Operators have been directly involved in designing, building, and getting hand's on with products that are now roaming the surface of Mars, orbiting the Sun and about to be launched to land on an asteroid.

Due to high performance over recent years, we are now looking to expand our team as a result. With strong outlook in our Defence, Commercial and Space markets, plus the worlds push to 'Go Green' with renewable energy, our new product development is a key focus.-
Position Summary and Responsibilities:
  • This role will be working in our repairs department, as part of the team working on sub
  • assemblies, building varying cable assemblies using
  • CRT's, cable wrapping, crimping, etching of cables, soldering.
  • Manufacture complex, multi pin cable assemblies and harnesses to Engineering drawings and specifications
  • Use techniques and selfinspection standards to IPC610 and/or IPC620
  • Soldering and crimping of miniature high voltage connectors and contacts
  • Regular use of glues, epoxies and adhesives to encapsulate connectors
  • Test the assemblies for continuity and isolation using automated test equipment on the shop floor
  • Work to production schedules and be able to give status updates with expected completion dates to the Lead Operator and/or Team Leader
  • Work with the rest of the Production Team and be adaptable in order to carry out multiple tasks to ensure site delivery schedules are met

Qualifications:


  • Ideally have previous wiring or cable assembly manufacturing experience, or similar experience within an Electromechanical manufacturing environment
  • Experience of crimping or soldering is the ideal minimum experience for this role
  • Understanding of Engineering drawings and reading of detailed process procedures
  • Good dexterity with a persistent nature
  • A quality led mindset and the ability to write and clearly record traceability information related to the build of product
  • If you have experience of working in a production/manufacturing role within an ElectoMechanical product environment, or have a recent Electrical/Mechanical degree/HND/HNC then we'd be interested in hearing from you.
Due to the nature of the business, you must be eligable to gain UK Basic Security clearance.
