Background


Career Tree is one of the initial 32 tuition providers that was selected by the government to deliver the National Tutoring Programme (NTP).

The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) is a government initiative to support disadvantaged children, who have fallenbehind academically due to school closures, as a result of the pandemic.

Now in its third year on the National Tutoring Programme (NTP), Career Tree is planning to aggressively expand its NTP operation nationally and we are looking for a Programme Managerwho can join us, drive our NTP expansion plans and lead our growing team of tutors.


Summary of Role
The Programme Manager will be the key point of contact for NTP, DFE and partner schools.

They will be required to effectively lead and manage tutors, in collaboration with the Administrator, HR and partner schools, to deliver high quality tutoring.

The ProgrammeManager will coordinate all tutoring activity taking place both online and in-person at schools.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Programme Manager will be appointed as the Designated Safeguarding Officer and will be required to ensure Safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented across the provision
  • Act as the key point of contact for DFE, NTP, OFSTED and partner schools
  • Hire, lead and manage tutors effectively to ensure delivery of high quality tutoring
  • Collaborate with new partner schools to develop intervention plans, develop tuition timetables, allocate tutors and learning resources appropriate for each school
  • Collaborate with HR, Recruitment, Admin and other departments to achieve NTP targets
  • Liaise with tutors, staff members and schools to ensure the delivery of appropriate, inclusive, high quality and innovative tutoring intervention programmes
  • Collaborate with school teachers and tutors to ensure a coordinated and individualized approach for each student's individual needs
  • Constantly explore the improvement, innovation and personalization of intervention plans for disadvantaged students
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of new tutors
  • Undertake regular performance management reviews for all tutors
  • Conduct lesson observations and receive feedback from schools/students, to identify training needs and organize training sessions for continuous tutor development
  • Set expectations for tutors and help them to achieve those standards
  • Provide support to new tutors and conduct effective initial training and induction sessions
  • Ensure effective collaboration both internally and externally, and maintain excellent relationships between staff, tutors, schools, parents and students
  • Liaise and work with partner schools and other relevant external agencies as required
  • Support the broader organization and the group (LSST & FSB), with any other duties as required.
