Description
The post will report to the Director Systems Engineering and Test.
They will be responsible for the development and maintenance the scripts which provision and maintain the OS.

They will work with development staff to provide OS functionality to support the product, this includes installation of drivers, patches and configuration changes.

They will also liaise with the Operations Team and Digital Service Centre (A2) as part of the release path and process

  • Responsibilities
  • Processing Master Disk Requests via JIRA Tickets
  • Prioritising workload of requests in conjunction with System Engineering Management
  • Ensuring master disks are created with the content configuration provided by the Release Team
  • Creating/building new master disks for new products and product variations, working to Product and Development requirements.
  • Resolving any issues raised with a master disk build. This may be issues or changes raised by Development, Product or Test Teams.
Skills required- Knowledge/experience of Windows Operating Systems, in particular WES7 and Win10 IoT, including building and configuration

  • Organisation skills
  • Management of own workload
  • Confident dealing with multiple teams and personnel.
  • Script writing (CMD, Powershell, etc)


  • Educational requirements

  • Beneficial Experience:
  • Knowledge/experience of using JIRA
  • Process documentation (creation)
  • Use of source management systems (eg SVN and/or Bitbucket)
