Description

1. Support, manage and co-ordinate the development of proactive and responsive adult safeguarding services Trust Wide.

To provide expert advice, support and education on a daily basis to a wide-ranging workforce on all aspects of adult safeguarding where matters can be highly complex, and in difficult, sensitive and emotive situations.

3. Work with the Trust Lead Nurse, executive lead and others to monitor safeguarding performance indicators, and be accountable for ensuring all of the Trust's safeguarding policies are robust and reflect national, regional and local policy.

4. Deputise for the Lead Nurse for Safeguarding Adults at inter-agency forums, meetings providing expert advice.
**5. Work collaboratively with named professionals, designated professionals and other agencies across Portsmouth and South East Hampshire, supporting all activities necessary to ensure that Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust (PHT) meets its responsibilities in safeguarding adults at risk of harm and abuse.
