About the Role


As Campus Support Assistant, you will work as part of a dedicated and collaborative team to deliver all aspects of safety and security on our Ormskirk campus, alongside supporting the wellbeing of our students.

You will play a key part in delivering an excellent student experience and proactively work to find solutions to the 'everyday' and 'exceptional' issues you come across.

This is an exciting and challenging position, which offers you every opportunity to develop, grow and learn new skills.

In this role, you will work on a "4 on, 4 off" 12-hour shift pattern, as our Campus Support Team facilitate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year service to the Edge Hill campus community.

Campus Support is a service within our in-house Facilities Management department.

About you:


As Campus Support Assistant, you will:

  • Have relevant experience in a professional security or incident management role or in dealing with emergency situations.
  • Have experience in drafting log and/or incident reports for a variety of purposes.
  • Have the ability, judgement, initiative, and tact to respond with empathy and professionalism to student wellbeing incidents.
  • Be an effective communicator, a collaborative team member, and an ambassador of the University and the FM Values.
