As Acquisition Security Lead, you will provide advice throughout the acquisition cycle, focusing on minimising security risks associated with the procurement of assets or services, from concept to disposal.

**About the role

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Enable the identification and management of assets, in support of highly sensitive cutting-edge capabilities, critical to our national defence.

  • Ensure acquisitions/service programmes and suppliers comply with Government policy, process and procedure requirements.
  • Implement governance structures to manage all security risks (physical, information and cyber) from conception to disposal of assets, products or services, and the wider supply chain.
  • Act on intelligence indicating any risk to the supply chain from hostile actors, including providing advice and assurance on supplier's security, risk management, business continuity practices across acquisitions and services encourage continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to suppliers responding to incidents and communicate lessons learned.
  • Provide guidance for secure storage and distribution of assets throughout their lifecycles.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, in order to inform and influence security decisions to ensure good security performance.

Person specification

  • Level 5 Security Management Qualification (or equivalent) OR equivalent professional experience
  • Significant experience within a Security related roll.
