JETS Clinical Lead


Funding:0.25 PA per week (or equivalent)


Tenure Fixed term agreement for 2 years in the first instance (with possible extension for 1 year)


Location Applicants will need to be based within the UK and will be expected to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role. Much of the post holder's work may be delivered from their own location remotely with occasional meetings in London and Liverpool.


Overview
The JAG is hosted by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).

The RCP is a patient-centred and clinically led organisation whose core mission is to improve patient care and reduce illness.

The Care Quality Improvement Department supports the RCP's strategic aim to improve care for patients.

It utilises a variety of methods and approaches to drive improvements in activities, influences the quality of clinical practice via ambitious work programmes that are delivered via constituent teams.

JAG aims to promote similar change and improvement in all endoscopy services, whilst also providing assurance to patients, managers, referrers, and commissioners about the service provided.


The JAG endoscopy training clinical lead will work in partnership with JAG programme manager (training and data) to ensure the successful delivery of the JETS online system, including development of new certification pathways, ongoing development of the online system, and providing clinical expertise to the JETS office team.


The appointment will be for two years, renewable for a further year by agreement, and will be funded at 0.25 PA (or equivalent), reimbursable to the post-holder's employer.
