Our Community Care Assistants provide care and support to help people achieve positive outcomes, live well, regain independence and/or remain independent in their own home and in their community.
Some of the people our care staff support experience feelings of isolation, and some will have physical and or emotional barriers to independence.
By supporting people in their own homes, our care staff help people to feel connected, regain skills for daily living, increase their confidence and physical abilities to improve/maintain their quality of life.

- Could you support and care for people in their own homes to help them feel safe and independent?
- Are you a good listener and able to develop good relationships with people so that you could identify changes in their health in order to keep them well?
- Are you reliable and flexible and can help the service to support people at various times of the day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year?
- Do you have a full driving license and access to your own vehicle to reach people who live across Swansea at their scheduled call times?

The average 28-hour contracts operate a fixed shift pattern, an example is shown below:4 shifts - 7am - 1.30pm, followed by 2 days off.
4 shifts - 4pm pm, followed by 2 days off.
This is a rolling rota.
Evening and weekend contracts are allocated with one weeks' notice and will either be 7am - 1.30pm or 4pm pm.
