An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Paediatric Dietetic team at the Evelina London. We have a fixed term vacancy for 12 months for specialist paediatric dietitian to join the paediatric metabolic team.

The metabolic dietitian is key member of the dietetic and multidisciplinary team.

You will play an important role in the nutritional management of this patient group and will provide highly specialist advice, education and support to patients, carers and other health professionals within the multidisciplinary team.

In addition you will actively be involved in the trusts clinical governance programme and quality agenda framework for ensuring continuing professional development, audit and research activities within this specialist area.

You will work with the metabolic dietitians as part of the multidisciplinary team providing cover for inpatients and outpatients.

You will require experience working with paediatric patients, and will also have some experience or knowledge of working with babies on a neonatal unit.

The Evelina Children's Hospital continues to grow and now has a team of around 35 Paediatric Dietitians covering specialist areas such as metabolic, renal, ketogenic, diabetes, general medical and surgery, allergy, neurology, neonates, cleft, orthopaedics, neonatal and intensive care.

The paediatric dietetic service is well established and respected within the Evelina and the post holder will work closely within the MDT.

There are numerous opportunities within the department for audit and service development and you will be supported and encouraged to actively participate in these areas.
