Do you have finance experience, and are an expert user of Agresso?


We are working with a national charity which is the largest voluntary sector provider of HIV and sexual health services in the UK, running services out of local centres across Great Britain.


An immediate opportunity has arisen within the Finance team to support and play a key part in the effective and efficient running of the purchase ledger function on a temporary basis.


This role would process direct expenditure on to the Unit4/Agresso system and ensure supplier payment runs are ready for payment.

The role would also include making adhoc payments such as volunteer expenses when required. It would also involve dealing withsupplier queries and purchase ledger enquiries within the internal organisation.

Duration: 6-month temporary role

Full time, 35 hours per week

Salary:
£15.43 per hour plus £1.86 holiday pay per hour equivalent to £28,075 per annum


Location:
London, mainly remote, and working from home once every 9 weeks


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • To analyse and post the direct expenditure of the charity, ensuring that the financial procedures are followed and there is no duplication of payments with the purchase ledger.
  • To prepare and generate BACS payments on a weekly basis, ensuring adherence to financial controls.
  • Dealing with supplier queries and also purchase ledger queries from internal colleagues.
  • To process volunteer expenses
  • Process adhoc payments as necessary
  • Reconcile supplier statements to supplier balances on the system.
  • To provide administrative support to the Finance Department as a whole, the prioritisation of which will be agreed with the Finance Manager
  • Ensure all financial records are kept in line with Data Protection Act 2018 (including GDPR)
  • To proactively work across departments within the organisation engaging with all stakeholders to ensure an effective working relationships.
