To assist the Buyer to source, develop, buy and deliver a specific range of products at the right cost, right time and the right place to achieve the Company's gross profit.

This role would suit a Fashion Graduate or someone working as a Buying Admin Assistant.


Client Details
A leading Fashion Multi channel retailer in West Yorkshire. The company are well established and have been trading for over 30 years. They sell Fashion product across, Clothing, Accessories & Footwear and Lingerie.


Description

  • Assist in all aspects of supplier management and correspondence.
  • Assist in all aspects of Web / Catalogue sample management.
  • Manages suppliers in Buyer's absence and takes appropriate course of action.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required.
  • Have a full understanding of QA processes and deadlines with reference to critical path. Provides feedback on issues and suggests solutions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of pretrip packs and briefings.
  • Attend and assist selected internal and external supplier meetings and ensure detailed minutes are taken and adapt appropriate questioning in order to ascertain suppliers' suitability.
  • Gather, analyse and interpret product, market and customer information to establish UK trend alongside Buyer/Assistant.
  • Undertaking regular benchmarking / competition reporting.
  • Assists in the preparation of internal meetings including Product Framework, Selection, Sign-Off, Review and Wissi meetings.
  • Attend various grade stores producing qualitative store reports to the Buying and Merchandising team.
  • To attend and complete selected internal & external training courses as required.

  • PC literate

  • Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • A good understanding of fashion trends and knowledge of the high street
