Description
Working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern from 5am to 5pm, the postholder will:
Ensure optimum performance of the Site and Equipment at best value cost, effectively utilising resources

Attain the engineering standards across the site by providing functional support and expertise

Positively impact Production reliability through practical intervention on improvement activities, maintenance procedures and all stoppages

Ensure effective communication levels with all departments in line with departmental standards

First point of contact for day-to-day production needs, delegate work to team members based on skills level required
Conduct team meetings and produce detailed handover reports, ensuring downtime escalation process is followed
Attend SIC meetings as engineering representative
Ensure Engineer's planned work is completed in the assigned time scales and to a high standard, shift not to be left with unactioned work
Assist in assigned long-term preventative maintenance programs, total preventative maintenance and projects

To support engineers with reactive maintenance problems and repair breakdowns in a safe manner, ensuring a permanent repair is in place and to a high standard.

Work with Line Manager to Identify training requirements and provide engineering and line tender training through gap analysis.

Work with Line Manager to understand equipment failure & OEE trends and drive improvement through Breakdown analysis and root cause analysis.

Lead high standards of safety across the departments
Contribute towards continuous improvement project.
Ensure high standards of engineering workmanship and housekeeping across the site, incorporating 5s processes
Work to develop your team's input into the CMMS, data input, sign off notes, and parts booked out.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to delegate effectively when required.
Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrating flexibility towards changing business demands.
Proactive, dynamic and motivational with the ability to deliver results in a fast paced, pressurised environment.
Understanding of environmental requirements and responsibilities
