A haulage company in Blackburn is looking to bring on a finance manager on a permanent basis.


The job of the finance manager will be working closely with two to three members of staff, leading a small team and carrying out hands-on transactional work.

They are looking for somebody with experience and confidence, that can work full time in office.


Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager Job:

  • Credit control.
  • Month end processes.
  • Managing the daytoday financial operations (including, but not limited to, payroll and VAT returns).
  • Assisting with cash flow and reconciliations where necessary.
  • Control over the issuing and chasing of invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately.
  • Managing PAYE, child support, fines, CIS and any similar processes for payroll.
  • Financial reporting where necessary.

Key skills required for the Senior Management Accountant Job:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Sage Line 50.
  • Experience of leading a small team.
  • Organised and driven, with the ability to be both handson and delegate tasks equally.
  • Confident phone and written manner.
  • At least three years' experience in financial management.
  • Able to commute to Blackburn.
