Supporting the Class Teacher's lesson plans,
Supporting the pupil's learning and development,

Day-to-Day Life as a Secondary Teaching Assistant

Utilising your own knowledge and experience to aid pupil's learning,
Providing support in small groups or 1:1 to Key stages 3 & 4,
Making education accessible and engaging for a diverse variety of children,
Planning and running small intervention sessions,
Participating in the support given by school specialists.

Secondary Teaching Assistant - Person Specification

1:1 or 2:1 from a reputable university,
A cando attitude, full of enthusiasm,
Brilliant communication skills,
Personal or professional experience with children,
