Network Specialist (Remote with Ad-Hoc Travel)

Are you a seasoned Network Specialist with a knack for driving impactful projects and championing security practices? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team for a period of approximately 6 months, with the flexibility to work remotely and occasional travel to our offices in London, Winchester, Worcester, or Reading.

Role Overview:

As a Network Specialist, you will be an integral part of our team, focusing on networking excellence and security enhancement.

Your expertise in Cisco (including ACI in the datacentre), Meraki, and Legacy HP ProCurve environments will play a pivotal role in ensuring our network operations are robust and secure.

With a strong emphasis on security practices, you'll champion best practices and processes while collaborating with both Windows and Linux environments virtualized on VMWare.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery of Projects: Take charge of project delivery, leveraging your networking proficiency to design and implement impactful solutions.

Security Champion: Lead the charge in embedding security best practices and processes across our network infrastructure, ensuring a resilient and protected environment.

Network Support: Provide invaluable support to our IT Ops team, resolving network challenges and ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Extensive experience in networking, with a strong focus on Cisco (including ACI), Meraki, and Legacy HP ProCurve environments.
Proficiency in security practices and the ability to champion security enhancements.
Wellrounded skills working with Windows and Linux environments, virtualized on VMWare.
Proven track record of successful project delivery within networking.
