Payroll and Credit Control Officer


This is an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join the Unique's payroll team, a team who are recognised within the organisation for their efficiency and accuracy.

Your role will be to facilitate the accurate and timely payment of salaries for all Unique Personnel employees.


The Payroll Officer responsibilities include:

  • Day to day processing, calculation and inputting of all payroll changes in line with agreed policies and legislation
  • Processing statutory payments and deductions
  • Quality checking of all payroll transactions
  • Production and distribution of relevant HR/payroll/pension reports
  • Liaising with third parties as required
  • To be the first point of contact for all payroll enquiries
  • To ensure compliance with legislation relating to PAYE, National Insurance, Pension, Auto Enrolment, SSP, SMP, maternity pay, equal pay etc.
  • Providing information to customers, service heads and senior management in respect of payroll issues
  • Provide general HR Administration support
  • Liaising with HR department to ensure service efficiency

Credit Control responsibilities include:

  • Having the sole responsibility over credit control, including the allocation of cash and bank allocation.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers, helping to solve queries.
  • Processing bank receipts and bank reconciliations.
  • Processing invoices.

You will need:

  • Experience working with SAGE payroll and Bright Pay
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • To work accurately and to strict deadlines in a busy office environment
  • Attention to detail
  • To work flexibly to the needs of the service
  • Have strong experience working in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
  • Be extremely selfmotivated and enthusiastic.
  • Be at least part AAT qualified or studying towards.

_Previous experience of working within a similar role is essential._

Salary:
£23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
