Kopek Security & Facilities Ltd is a national provider of manned and canine assisted security services. We as a company, consistently strive to deliver a high standard of service.

We are looking to recruit a full time security dog handling team to join our existing canine section.


Preferred applicants will be encouraged to maintain/work towards a high level of proficiency along with their canine teammate through regular training and improvements.

A high level of animal welfare and care will always be expected


Description


All handlers will be required to ensure the security of our client's premises while adhering to the site safety rules and regulations.

The handler will be required to be compliant to the British Standards, random dog patrols of the site and any other specific duties to be advised in the assignment instructions.

The site is a large shopping centre, comprising of several floors, housing well known national and independant retail brands. The layout is unique (spiral formation), you can gain access to all floors without having to use stairs. The look is very typical of a traditional Mall, with shiny tiled floors and mezzaline levels.

The dog handling team is deployed to deter crowds, preventing antisocial behaviour and keep the public safe.

The officer will be required to be proactive and assist the internal response team with reactive patrols. This could be with or without their canine.

Officers will have full access to our incident reporting app and incouraged to report any incidents accordingly.

Suitable parking available for a dog unit and full welfare available.

To apply, applicants are required to have:

  • Work ethics, the right attitude and be a team player
  • Genuine understanding of their canine partners needs/welfare
  • A good level of written and verbal English
  • A valid frontline SIA badge
  • Minimum level 2 team certificate (NASDU, NTIPDU or BIPDT)
  • Continuation training (CT) records
  • A suitable level headed dog of guarding breed
  • Compliant dog cages with escape hatches (must provide photographic evidence)
  • Vehicles must be visible with livery Vehicle must be unbranded (no company livery)
  • Warning triangles on all exits
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Professional, presentable with excellent communication skills
  • Smart black uniform & boots with clean hivis/tactical vest

Hours of Work
3/4, 12 hours shifts, between Monday to Sunday


Remuneration and Benefits

Limited Companies and Self employed:

- £15.00/hr

  • Double Pay on Bank Holidays

PAYE - £12.00/hr

  • Statutory sick pay (SSP)
  • Holiday pay (28 days including statutory Bank Holidays)

All applicants will be screened and vetted to BS 8517 and BS 7858 standards.
