Description
We are currently recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to be based at our Manchester office.


What You'll Be Responsible For:


  • Ensuring shipments are invoiced within agreed timeframe
  • Ensuring quotations are issued in line with customer requirements, product guidelines and documented per branch process
  • Supplier invoice disputes are actioned within agreed timeframes and as per company guideline
  • Timely preparation of job files (inclusive invoicing and cost accrual) in readiness for approval by line manager
  • Timely approval of Supplier Invoices
  • Coordinating with customers and provide freight forwarding services as required
  • Coordinating with overseas offices and network partners
  • Observing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) agreed for customer / product / tradelane
  • Processing bookings via GAC inhouse freight management system
  • Coordinating UK Import and Export Customs clearances in line with government guidance

The following skills are desirable:

  • Qualifications: DG Awareness, Aviation Security (Airfreight Operations)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry
  • Good computing skills, including all areas of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maximise sales opportunities
  • Able to provide a high standard of customer service at all times
  • Knowledge of Customs Declaration Service (CDS)
  • Knowledge of ASM Sequoia
