1st Line IT Support Technician

Location:
Liverpool L33, Office Based only.


Salary:
£20,000 per annum.


Contract:
Full time, permanent.


IT Support Technician - About the role


This is a great opportunity to join our existing team within a well-established and reputable MSP based in Liverpool, Merseyside.


As a managed service provider, we act primarily as the outsourced IT department for our clients, implementing and supporting managed IT and communication solutions covering mainly the North West but we have clients nationwide.


IT Support Technician - Main responsibilities

  • Being the first point of contact for escalated issues, questions, or concerns
  • Providing 1st Line support to customers over the phone and through the ticketing system
  • Escalating incidents to the appropriate team where you're not able to resolve
  • Provide relevant support and training to Staff for specialist products
  • Respond to requests/issues/escalations identified by clients and works with the wider team to ensure action plans are developed and issues are resolved
  • Configuring and dispatching customer equipment

Administration

  • Effective ticket Management
  • Proactively contact customers with updates as required
  • Provide updates to Line Manager for inclusion in weekly management reports
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by their Line Manager, these may include special projects as defined and agreed by the Management team

What we need from you
Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office 365 support
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel)
  • User Administration (Active Directory)
  • Microsoft Windows OS installation and support experience

  • Ability to work to deadlines whilst retaining accuracy

Desirable

  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced, multitasking environment and maintain production and quality standards
  • Microsoft Windows Server support
  • Experience in working in an MSP environment
  • Microsoft Server Administration (DHCP, Group Policy, DNS, RDS Environments)
  • Network support (TCPIP/DNS/DHCP/VPN/VLAN/Firewall and Router configuration and management)
  • VOIP and SIP solutions
  • UK Drivers Licence
