Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Principal BIM Engineer.

Contributing to the strategy and implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in support of Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Safety related facilitiesfor the Major Infrastructure Projects programme.

You will provide BIM support within the core engineering team, as well as support and leadership to projects, ensuring consistency in the way MIP and the wider DRDL delivers BIM.

The Principal BIM & Digital Engineer is accountable to the BIM & Digital Engineer Lead. The Principal BIM & Digital Engineer is a deputy role and will support the BIM lead.

Rate:
£65p/hr UMB

Location:
Hybrid - reporting site is Devonport Dockyard

Duration: 6 months+

Key requirements:

Hold qualifications in a relevant discipline below, minimum HNC, degree or diploma. You shall hold professional chartership with a recognised industry institute.
Design and Construction experience background i.e., civil, structural, architectural and MEP or similar.
Shall have knowledge of ISO 19650 standards
Shall have a minimum of 10 years design and construction experience.
Able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the process of BIM throughout the design and construction lifecycle.
