Smart Kids Nursery are looking to recruit an apprentice Early Years Educator, This is an exciting opportunity to work as an effective member of the Childcare and Early Years Team, ensuring that a balanced programme of childcare provision meets local needs, whilst undertaking an Early Years Educator qualification.
Vacancy descriptionDuties include:
- To promote the aims and objectives of Our Kids Nursery
- To promote and contribute to provide the high standards of the Early Years Department at all times to parents, staff and visitors
- To provide care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs, from children aged 6 months to 4 years
- With support from the staff team, ensure preparation and completion of a variety of exciting play opportunities and activities suitable to the age range and developmental needs of the children in the room which will motivate their learning and integration within the nursery
- Show awareness and an understanding of the statutory requirements of the EYFS framework and to ensure a safe working environment for staff and children
- Plan and provide learning opportunities and activities for children
- Changing nappies or helping with potty/toilet training
- Support mealtimes, feeding times and sleep times
- Undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the Early Years Manager or deputy

- Be a qualified Level 2 NVQ Childcare Practitioner or completed Level 2 Health and Social Care
- Have GCSEs grades C/4 or above in English and maths or equivalent qualifications
- Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification with support and guidance from an assessor
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

- Functional Skills (if required) in maths and English
Job Type:

Salary:
Up to £10,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
