The Client


Our client is one of the UK's largest engineering surveyors specialising in land, measured building and underground utility surveys as well as monitoring and site engineering schemes.

They have a network of nine offices across the UK, with over 160 surveyors and engineers working on some of the UK's major construction and infrastructure developments.


The role


Our client is currently looking for an experienced Land and Measured Building Surveyor to grow their team from their local office.

You will have the exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of land survey projects, across a range of sectors and project size, using the latest technology such as total stations and GPS.

Our client is looking to hear from enthusiastic surveyor's keen to take the next step in their careers and build on existing knowledge and experience.


This is a full-time role with office hours of Monday to Friday from , however site hours will vary so overtime and occasional weekend working will be required.


  • Able to complete large and complex topographical, measured building, floor plans, elevations section surveys to a high standard using a combination of traditional methods and 3D Scanners
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of a variety of processing software
  • Consistently deliver high quality work on time and in budget
  • Supervise and mentor trainee surveyors and provide training when required
  • Support the Survey Manager and deputise when required including client quotations, leading team briefings and individual job briefings.
  • Confident and clear communicator both written and verbal
  • Professional manner with excellent client facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK

Experience

  • Experience working as a Land & Measured Building Surveyor, in a Senior Surveyor or Experienced Surveyor role
  • Previous experience completing training days with surveyors of various levels
  • Proficient using total stations, laser scanners, GPS, LisCAD, N4CE, AutoCAD equipment and software
  • Able to lead large complex topographical and measured building survey projects
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet key deadlines
  • Professional and approachable manner with excellent communication skills
