Warehouse / Fulfilment / Distribution operative

Warehouse / Distribution operative based in our York city centre fulfilment centre.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Essential:

At least 1 year's previous warehouse management experience.
Skills and qualifications relevant to a warehouse environment (training provided if needed)
Very proactive to achieve results.
Ability to commute and work from our York city centre location.
Experience/confidence managing high value deliveries either to businesses or domestic addresses
Forklift certification

Preferable

Experience dealing with freight forwarding companies
Experience in working closely with national couriers
Other relevant certificates / experiences will be taken into account.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

As a highly valued Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for:

Ensuring the stock levels in the warehouse are adequate for upcoming installations and orders.
Managing deliveries from our warehouse to our customers (these could be businesses or residential properties)
Liaising with the installation team to ensure that all equipment is delivered to site in time for an installation utilising national courier network and in house delivery team
Taking instruction from the Warehouse Manager to ensure deliveries are received and dispatched on time and in a safe manner
Managing and receiving large deliveries of incoming stock and ensuring these are stored correctly and safety
Welcoming installer partners / private customers and giving product demonstrations (full training provided).
